Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly in discussions over a potential summer switch to Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal.
Currently on loan at Turkish champions Galatasaray from Napoli for the 2024/25 season, the 26-year-old forward is expected to leave the Italian side on a permanent deal at the end of the campaign.
Osimhen’s contract contains a €75 million release clause, which becomes active this summer. However, the clause does not apply to Serie A clubs, meaning domestic rivals like Juventus—who are also keen on signing the Super Eagles star—would have to negotiate a higher fee.
French outlet Footmercato reports that Al-Hilal have already initiated contact with Osimhen’s representatives. The Saudi outfit is in search of a proven striker to bolster their attack following Neymar’s departure in January.
Osimhen, widely regarded as one of the most prolific African forwards in Europe, could be the latest big name to join the growing list of stars plying their trade in Saudi Arabia.
