Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing security and aviation development through a strengthened collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
During a high-level meeting with the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, at the NAF Headquarters in Abuja, Governor Abiodun outlined his vision for positioning Gateway International Airport as a key hub for trade, investment, and logistics. He underscored the vital role of the Air Force in ensuring the security and operational efficiency of the airport.
A major highlight of the discussion was the proposed establishment of an Air Force base at the airport—a strategic move expected to enhance safety, stimulate economic activities, and attract investors.
Governor Abiodun commended Air Marshal Abubakar for his proactive leadership and expressed appreciation for NAF’s positive response to the initiative. He reiterated Ogun State’s dedication to fostering strategic partnerships with key security agencies to safeguard lives and promote prosperity.
