…Says divine coalition risks collapse over selfish ambition
The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a stark warning about an impending clash between two influential figures in Nigeria’s opposition coalition—former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
Speaking during the unveiling of the 2025/2026 edition of his annual prophecy book “Warnings To The Nations”, Primate Ayodele predicted a looming crisis over the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition’s presidential ticket.
According to the cleric, although the ADC coalition is divinely orchestrated and holds great potential to reshape Nigeria’s political landscape in 2027, internal conflicts driven by selfish political interests could undermine its success.
“The ADC coalition is divine and has the capacity to pull up something great in 2027,” Ayodele said. “But politicians with selfish interests can collapse it. I foresee Peter Obi and Rotimi Amaechi having a public fallout over the presidential ticket before 2027.”
He further warned that both Obi and Amaechi might exit the coalition if their ambitions are not realized, particularly if Obi fails to secure the presidential ticket.
“If Peter Obi doesn’t get the presidential ticket, he will pull out of the coalition,” the cleric stated. “The coalition is divine, but humans can jeopardize the movement. They need to be very careful.”
The prophecy adds another layer of uncertainty to Nigeria’s evolving political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections, as opposition forces continue efforts to build a unified front against the ruling party.
