NPC Warns Against Fake Census Recruitment Website

0

The National Population Commission (NPC) has issued a public alert about a fraudulent website, https://npc-career.allprogram.site/job, designed to deceive Nigerians with false recruitment claims for the 2025 Population and Housing Census.

In a statement released by NPC’s Director of Public Affairs, Erelu Taibat Yemi Oloruntoba, the commission clarified that no recruitment is currently underway for ad-hoc staff. She emphasized that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has mandated a review of the census budget before any official proclamation for the exercise.

The NPC urged Nigerians to disregard the fake website and seek updates only from its verified social media handles and official website. The commission also assured the public that investigations are ongoing to track down those behind the fraudulent platform.

“When recruitment becomes necessary, it will be officially announced through national media and our verified platforms,” the statement read.

The NPC reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and keeping the public informed about Nigeria’s first biometric Population and Housing Census.
