President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
Per their various development Acts, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has authorized the transfer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to the Office of the Vice President for supervision, according to a release made on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
Before this, NAHCON was governed by the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), whereas NEMA was a part of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development.
“The President also approved a formal structure for the Office of the Vice President as well as the appropriate number of technical and administrative assistants who will assist the Vice President in carrying out his duties,” Mr. Olusola Abiola, the director of information from the office of the Vice President Kashim Shettima said.
