The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, disclosed late Monday night via Twitter that Nigeria has recorded 288 more fresh cases of the novel coronavirus.
According to the health agency, Lagos which is the epicentre of the pandemic topped the list with 88 new cases and the FCT followed with 25 reported fresh infections.
The new infections were recorded in Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT) and 13 other states of the Federation.
The other states with the new cases of infections include; Kwara with 33 cases, Osun- 27, Enugu- 25, Abia- 20, Kaduna- 17, Plateau and Rivers with 13 each, Delta-10, Gombe- 8.
Meanwhile, some states recorded fewer cases, which are; Ogun with 4, Oyo- 3, Katsina and Bauchi with just 1 case each.
It is safe to say that the country has been able to manage the coronavirus pandemic which ravaged the world after successfully discharging 20,663 cases said to have recovered from COVID-19 and also with the daily drop in the cases of new infections.
However, eight new deaths were reported, bringing the total number of fatalities to 896.
