Azeez Adeshina Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, a Nigerian singer, has advised Nigerian youths to abstain from drug use. When he joined the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency’s War Against Drug Abuse advocacy campaign, the artiste made the plea.

This was revealed in a video posted on Thursday to the agency X (previously Twitter) handle.

Naira Marley warned his followers, particularly young people, to quit using narcotics because it is harmful to their health.

He said, “WhatsUp my people, you know who it is, it’s your boy, Naira Marley. I will like to urge my fans the ‘Marlians’ and all the Nigerian youths to stop doing drugs. It’s not good for your well-being.

“Let us all stop substance abuse in any form. I have keyed into this campaign to support the NDLEA to stop drugs on the streets. Please, join us as drug abuse is not good, It makes you go back into crime and it does a lot of things to you, thank you very much.”
