The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Friday lit up the Lagos skyline with a thrilling aerial display in celebration of its 61st anniversary, captivating dignitaries and onlookers alike.
The breathtaking showcase, held above the iconic Eko Hotel, was witnessed by the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, alongside foreign air chiefs and senior delegates attending the African Air Forces Forum (AAFF).
A fleet of NAF aircraft executed precision flight manoeuvres and coordinated formations, demonstrating the force’s advanced tactical capabilities, discipline, and steadfast commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s airspace.
The aerial display was a major highlight of the AAFF — a high-level gathering that unites air force leaders across the continent to foster strategic cooperation, share operational insights, and confront common security challenges.
Designed to spotlight NAF’s expanding role in regional peacekeeping and airspace security, the event further underscored Nigeria’s leadership in promoting defence collaboration across Africa.
