Mark Angel Warns Rivers Youths Against Involvement in Political Crisis

0

Popular skit maker Mark Angel has advised youths and residents of Rivers State to steer clear of the ongoing political crisis following President Bola Tinubu’s suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy, and all elected members of the House of Assembly for six months.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, the 33-year-old Rivers-born content creator described the crisis as a dispute between political figures over failed agreements and personal disagreements, stressing that it does not concern the youths.

“This Is Not Your Fight”

Mark Angel cautioned young people against taking sides, recalling that his team had predicted such a crisis in their skits two years ago, but their warnings were dismissed as mere jokes.

“My fellow Rivers State people, especially the youths, this is not your matter. It is government versus government. They had agreements that did not hold, and now they have personal issues,” he said.

Urging youths to prioritize their businesses, health, and personal development, Angel warned against unnecessary involvement in political conflicts.

“Do not fight over someone else’s issues. If they declare military rule for 10 years, no problem—as long as we can do our businesses, eat, and progress in society,” he stated.

He further emphasized that political leaders should resolve their own disputes, urging residents to maintain peace and focus on their livelihoods.
