The Lagos government has begun dismantling all unlawful constructions and shanties built on drainages and road setbacks in Ikeja’s Computer Village.
As previously reported, the unlawful constructions and shanties erected by traders were demolished after their owners were served with removal notices by the government via the state.
The structures were dismantled on Sunday by Ministry of Environment authorities who invaded the market to modify the market’s master plan.
Tokunbo Wahab, the commissioner for the Environment, confirmed the development in a series of photos posted on his official social media account.
Wahab’s decision to expand the ongoing enforcement of environmental regulations to Compute Village occurred just hours after several structures in Lekki Phase 1 were deemed to be in violation of the laws.
