Factional Interim National Chairperson of the Labour Party, Senator Nenadi Usman, has described the party as the most credible alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), urging Nigerians to remain steadfast in their support.
Usman made the remarks on Sunday while addressing journalists in Kafanchan, Kaduna State. She emphasised the Labour Party’s commitment to restoring national dignity, rebuilding hope, and delivering governance that prioritises the welfare of ordinary citizens.
“We are committed to restoring national dignity, hope, and delivering people-centred governance,” she stated.
The former lawmaker lamented the growing hardship across the country, noting that the suffering of the masses had reached a disturbing level.
Reacting to recent defections from the party to the APC, Usman dismissed concerns, saying the Labour Party remains firm and continues to enjoy strong grassroots support.
“Some of those who left never truly believed in the vision of the party. Their exit has brought more clarity and strengthened our internal unity,” she added.
Calling for reconciliation, Usman appealed to aggrieved members to set aside differences and work together. She also revealed that the party is gearing up to launch a nationwide membership revalidation drive, alongside congresses and a national convention in the coming months.
