The Kaduna State government has said it is working round the clock to ensure that all the Kuriga school children are brought back safely.
Hajiya Rabi Salisu, Commissioner of Human Services and Social Development, gave the assurance during a peace walk to commemorate the International Women’s Day organised by CLEEN Foundation.
She said, “We are in support of what you are doing; the 287 kidnapped children will be brought back home. Governor Uba Sani is working round the clock; all the children will be brought back.”
Meanwhile, the CLEEN Foundation and other stakeholders have expressed their willingness to advance the cause of Nigerian women, gender-responsive policies, creating an inclusive society where everyone has equal opportunities and rights.
They made the commitment at a two-day training workshop, with the theme, ‘Policy Dialogue on State Gender Responsive Frameworks and Practices’ organised by CLEEN Foundation in collaboration with Norwegian Embassy and UN women held in Kaduna yesterday.
