President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Lagos for Abuja following a two-week private visit to Nigeria’s commercial capital, where he observed the Eid al-Adha celebration and carried out a series of official and informal engagements.
The President was seen off at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside other senior government officials.
During his stay in Lagos, President Tinubu played host to several high-profile dignitaries at his residence and commissioned a number of developmental projects across the state. Among those who paid him a courtesy visit were former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, and prominent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Segun Sowunmi — a former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar’s 2023 presidential campaign.
The President’s visit blended festive celebrations with strategic political and developmental engagements, underscoring his continued presence on both the national and regional scene.
