The House of Representatives on Thursday rescinded its earlier decision on two critical bills—one seeking to remove immunity for the Vice President, Governors, and their Deputies, and another proposing the abolition of the death penalty in Nigeria.
The reversal followed a motion moved by the House Majority Leader, Julius Ihonvbere, during plenary.
Both bills had initially passed second reading on Wednesday before the lawmakers opted to review their stance.
