Iran’s deputy foreign minister, Kazem Gharibabadi, issued a stern warning to the United States on Thursday, cautioning against any direct involvement in the ongoing conflict in support of Israel.
Speaking on state television, Gharibabadi declared that any U.S. intervention on behalf of what he called the “Zionist regime” would provoke a strong Iranian response aimed at defending the nation’s sovereignty and strategic interests.
“If the United States wants to actively enter the field in favour of the Zionist regime, Iran will have to use its tools to both teach a lesson to aggressors and defend its national security and national interests,” he said.
He further emphasized that Iran’s military is fully prepared, stating, “Naturally, our military decision makers have all the necessary options on the table.”
The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions and follows growing international concern over the escalating violence between Israel and armed groups in the region. Gharibabadi’s comments signal Iran’s readiness to respond militarily if it perceives increased U.S. engagement in the conflict.
