Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has called on the federal government to deploy more security agents to the state to tackle insecurity.

The call was made when the governor visited Wurma village of Kurfi Local Government Area, according to a statement issued by the Commissioner of Information and Culture, Dr Bala Salisu Zango.

The commissioner said Radda could not hold back his tears when he visited the village to commiserate with residents over recent bandits’ attack that left many people dead and many others injured.

“Governor Radda condemned the attack which he described as barbaric, adding that it was pathetic to see how people deserted the village as a result of senseless killings by armed bandits.

“The governor reiterated the commitment of his administration to restore peace and security in the state, maintaining that his government would spend the last kobo in its treasury to safeguard the lives and properties of people in the state,” the statement read in part.
