Egbetokun’s decoration by Vice President Kashim Shettima
Following the sack of all former service chiefs on Monday, June 19, 2023, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, CGFR, a new Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun was appointed.
After he was decorated by Vice President Kashim Shettima, he spoke with the State House Correspondent stating how he felt about the new office and how excited he is to resume fully on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
“I really can’t describe how I feel presently, but if I have to tell you anything, I will tell you that right now I feel like a Tiger inside of me ready to chase away all the criminals in Nigeria.
“And some other time, I felt like a lion in me ready to devour all the internal enemies of Nigeria. That’s how I feel right now.”
