Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has appointed Oluwatoyin Taiwo as his new Chief of Staff. The appointment was formalized on Wednesday, with the governor handing over the official letter of appointment to Taiwo.
According to a statement issued by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, the appointment took effect on December 18, 2024.
Governor Abiodun expressed his confidence in Taiwo’s capabilities, describing the appointment as “well-deserved.” He highlighted Taiwo’s previous contributions to the administration, noting his tenure as the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism during Abiodun’s first term. Taiwo was later promoted to the position of Deputy Chief of Staff, prior to his current appointment.
Taiwo is a distinguished alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he earned a B.Sc. in Statistics. He furthered his academic pursuits with postgraduate studies, culminating in a PhD.
The governor’s office commended Taiwo for his dedication and leadership in serving the people of Ogun State, anticipating continued success in his new role as Chief of Staff.
