Emphasizes APC Dominance Is Due to President Tinubu’s Reforms

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has dismissed concerns that Nigeria is evolving into a one-party state, following the increasing dominance of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The governor made this statement after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the presidential villa in Abuja on Tuesday.

Governor Sule clarified that the growing number of defections to the APC was a result of the party’s strong performance under President Tinubu’s leadership, rather than any coercion. He credited the defections to the president’s reforms, including the unification of exchange rates, the removal of fuel subsidies, and developments in the power sector.

Sule also highlighted the administration’s focus on key sectors such as skill acquisition and agriculture, which he believes are addressing the real needs of the Nigerian people. He emphasized that these reforms were what truly resonated with defectors, reinforcing the APC’s appeal.
