Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, on Monday officially swore in Umar Farouk-Ibrahim as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) in a modest ceremony held at the Governor’s Office.
The swearing-in, officiated by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Haruna Isa-Dederi, follows the recent dismissal of Farouk-Ibrahim’s predecessor, Abdullahi Baffa-Bichi, along with the Chief of Staff and five Commissioners.
According to the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, the newly appointed SSG was selected based on his vast experience and expertise, which are expected to be instrumental in driving the administration’s development agenda.
Governor Yusuf expressed strong confidence in Farouk-Ibrahim’s ability to contribute meaningfully to the state’s growth and governance, emphasizing the need for seasoned leadership in achieving long-term progress for Kano State.
