The distribution ceremony took place on Tuesday in Birnin Kebbi, where the governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to empowerment and development.

“We have fulfilled 70 percent of the promises made to the people during our electioneering campaign,” Idris stated. He thanked the delegates for their unwavering support during the 2023 general elections, highlighting his administration’s achievements in transforming Birnin Kebbi into a modern, dignified state capital.

Governor Idris emphasized his focus on improving education, workers’ welfare, and infrastructure. “We have made significant investments in education, including paying school fees, renovating schools, providing instructional materials, and ensuring proper feeding for pupils and students,” he said.

The event was also attended by the state APC Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Kana-Zuru, who praised the governor for his leadership and described the meeting as an opportunity to express gratitude to the delegates for their role in the elections.

Kana-Zuru announced that each delegate would receive ₦120,000 from the ₦135 million fund, adding that some delegates had been appointed to key positions, including the current Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida.

Speaking on behalf of the delegates, Malam Muhammad Dan-Sadi expressed appreciation to the governor, describing him as a political pillar and pledging continued loyalty until the 2027 election cycle.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Muhammad Usman-Zuru, urged delegates to sustain their support for the governor, while former Governor Saidu Dakingari commended Idris for delivering on campaign promises within two years in office.

Dakingari further assured that efforts were underway to attract more members to the APC from opposition parties, strengthening the party’s position in the state.
