The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has inaugurated the newly constituted executive committee of the APC France Chapter, urging Nigerians in the diaspora to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and its Renewed Hope Agenda.

The inauguration ceremony, held over the weekend in Paris, brought together prominent APC members across the diaspora in a show of solidarity and renewed commitment to the party’s vision.

Speaking at the event, Ganduje emphasized the importance of unity among party members abroad, describing the diaspora as key allies in the success of Nigeria’s economic reforms and political development.

In a statement released on Monday by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje praised the efforts of APC diaspora chapters in expanding the party’s reach internationally through consistent member recruitment and mobilization efforts.

He acknowledged that while some of President Tinubu’s reforms may appear difficult in the short term, they are critical for repositioning the Nigerian economy for long-term prosperity.

“We appreciate you for holding the banner of our party, expanding its membership, and supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, especially in light of the critical reforms he is undertaking,” Ganduje said. “There is now more funding for capital development, and both governors and local government chairmen can attest to this.”

Ganduje also reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to realizing diaspora voting, noting ongoing collaboration with the National Assembly to enable Nigerians abroad to participate more fully in the democratic process.

Expressing confidence in the APC’s strength ahead of the 2027 general elections, Ganduje highlighted internal party stability and growing defections from opposition parties as signs of the APC’s rising influence.

“There is peace in the APC, unlike in other parties that are battling internal crises. Because of this enabling environment, many are decamping to our party, including Senators, members of the House of Representatives, State Assemblies members, and other notable political figures,” he noted.

In her remarks, the newly inaugurated Chairperson of the APC France Chapter, Hajjiya Amina Suzuki, underscored the vital contributions of Nigerians in the diaspora to the nation’s development.

“The Nigerian diaspora contributes billions in remittances and investments, but we are also thought leaders and proud ambassadors of Nigeria’s democracy,” she said, pledging continued support for the party and the Tinubu administration.
