Ganduje Fires Back at Buba Galadima, Labels Him a ‘Failed Politician with No Base’

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has lashed out at Buba Galadima, a prominent chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), dismissing him as a failed politician with no political relevance.

Ganduje’s remarks came in response to Galadima’s recent comments, in which he claimed that the APC Chairman owed his position solely to President Bola Tinubu’s influence and lacked independent political value.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Oliver Okpara, Ganduje said Galadima lacked the moral authority to assess his political relevance, pointing to his unbroken eight-year tenure as governor of Kano State and his continued influence at the grassroots level.

“Ganduje is a well-known, tested and trusted technocrat and politician of high repute,” the statement read. “He led Kano State for two uninterrupted terms, with numerous developmental projects that remain visible across the state — a testament to his lasting bond with the people.”

He described Galadima as a “mischievous personality” whose political career has failed to take root in any meaningful way.

“Where are Galadima’s results?” Ganduje asked pointedly. “He has no political base and continues to peddle irrelevance from the sidelines.”

The APC Chairman also defended his leadership of the ruling party, asserting that under his stewardship, the party remains stable and growing.

“The APC ship under Dr. Ganduje is sailing smoothly. The same cannot be said of Galadima’s NNPP, which has been weakened by internal divisions and chronic factional crises,” the statement added.

The exchange highlights the deepening rivalry between the APC and NNPP, especially in Kano State — a key battleground in Nigeria’s political landscape.
