FirstBank clarifies misleading reports, confirms seamless operations

FirstBank has responded to a misleading report regarding a recent system upgrade, clarifying that the message in question was intended exclusively for its vendors.

According to Folake Ani-Mumuney, Group Head, Marketing & Corporate Communications, the notice was about transitioning from the current I-Supplier Platform, which connects FirstBank with suppliers, to a new, Cloud-based Supplier Platform.

This advanced system is designed to improve supplier management and offer additional capabilities and benefits specifically for vendors.

FirstBank emphasized that there is no ongoing system upgrade affecting customer applications. All banking systems, customer transactions, and service channels remain fully operational, ensuring that clients continue to experience uninterrupted service.

The bank assures customers that its commitment to seamless and reliable banking operations remains unwavering, with no impact on customer-facing systems due to this vendor platform enhancement.
