Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to increasing women’s participation in strategic leadership roles across the country.
Speaking during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Directorate of State Security (DSS), led by Deputy Director-General Mrs. Afolashade Adekayaoja, at the State House Presidential Villa, the First Lady emphasized that women in leadership positions have consistently demonstrated collaboration, diligence, and unwavering support for one another.
According to her, President Tinubu remains resolute in his drive to ensure women’s inclusion at all levels of governance.
“His administration’s priority is to empower women and ensure their active participation in decision-making at all levels because it emphasizes the importance of recognizing and rewarding the tireless contributions of hardworking women in various sectors,” she stated.
Senator Tinubu commended the DSS for maintaining gender balance within its personnel, adding that her commitment to advancing women’s empowerment remains steadfast.
In response, Mrs. Adekayaoja lauded both the President and the First Lady for their dedication to fostering gender equality in leadership. She acknowledged their continued efforts to place women in key positions where they can contribute meaningfully to national development.
She further reiterated the DSS’s commitment to safeguarding Nigerian citizens and ensuring a secure environment for sustainable growth and governance.
