Fire guts Mobil filling station in Lagos

Mobil filling station on Obafemi Awolowo Way, Airport Hotel in Ikeja area of Lagos was on Thursday gutted by fire.

The cause of the fire outbreak could not be ascertained as of press time.

However, it was gathered that the fire, which erupted around 11 am, razed a gas tanker, cars and buses at the filling station.

Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service are currently at the scene.

The inferno destroyed a gas tanker, as well as numerous cars and buses that were at the location.

At the time of this report, security personnel have already arrived at the scene to redirect both people and vehicles away from the area.
