The Federal Government has officially launched the digital portal for the upcoming Nigeria Youth Conference, also known as the National Youth Confab, designed to actively engage young Nigerians in national policy dialogue and development strategies.
The announcement was made on Monday by the Minister of Youth Development, Ayode Olawande, who emphasized the inclusive, youth-led, and non-partisan nature of the initiative.
With the theme “Next Gen Nigeria: Crafting Solutions, Owning the Future”, the Confab aims to serve as a national movement that empowers youth to shape Nigeria’s future through innovative ideas and collective action.
“This is more than just a conference,” Olawande stated. “It’s a generational turning point, a national movement, and a call to action.”
The newly launched digital portal will allow participants to register, share insights, and receive real-time updates throughout the duration of the conference.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had first announced the 30-day Youth Confab in his Independence Day address in October 2024, underscoring his administration’s commitment to youth inclusion in governance. In March 2025, the President inaugurated a 44-member Planning Committee at the State House in Abuja to coordinate the national event.
The National Youth Confab is poised to become a landmark event in youth engagement, bringing voices from across Nigeria to the forefront of policymaking and nation-building.
