FG Declares March 31 and April 1 Public Holidays

The Federal Government has declared Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, 2025, as public holidays in celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government.

Congratulating the Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, the Minister urged them to uphold the values of self-discipline, compassion, generosity, and peace. He emphasized the significance of love, forgiveness, and unity in fostering a harmonious society.

In a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Minister also called on Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for the peace, stability, and prosperity of the nation.
