FAAC Disburses N1.818 Trillion to FG, States, LGs from June Revenue

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has distributed a total of N1.818 trillion in revenue for the month of June 2025 to the Federal Government, state governments, and Local Government Councils (LGs).

This was disclosed in a communiqué issued by the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF), Bawa Mokwa, following the FAAC meeting held in Abuja on Friday night.

The total distributable revenue comprised:

Statutory Revenue: N1.018 trillion

Value Added Tax (VAT): N631.507 billion

Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL): N29.165 billion

Exchange Difference Revenue: N38.849 billion

Non-Mineral Revenue Augmentation: N100 billion

The communiqué revealed that gross revenue for June stood at N4.232 trillion, a significant increase from May’s N2.094 trillion. However, after deductions for cost of collection (N162.786 billion) and transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings (N2.251 trillion), N1.818 trillion remained for distribution.

Breakdown of June Disbursement:
Federal Government: N645.383 billion

State Governments: N607.417 billion

Local Governments: N444.853 billion

13% Derivation Fund (to oil-producing states): N120.759 billion

Statutory Revenue (N1.018 trillion)
FG: N474.455 billion

States: N240.650 billion

LGs: N185.531 billion

13% Derivation: N118.256 billion

VAT Revenue (N631.507 billion)
FG: N94.726 billion

States: N315.754 billion

LGs: N221.027 billion

EMTL (N29.165 billion)
FG: N4.375 billion

States: N14.582 billion

LGs: N10.208 billion

Exchange Difference (N38.849 billion)
FG: N19.147 billion

States: N9.712 billion

LGs: N7.487 billion

Derivation: N2.503 billion

Augmentation from Non-Mineral Revenue (N100 billion)
FG: N52.680 billion

States: N26.720 billion

LGs: N20.600 billion

The communiqué also noted that while Companies Income Tax, Petroleum Profit Tax, and EMTL saw increases, other revenue components like Oil and Gas Royalties, VAT, Import Duty, Excise Duty, and CET Levies recorded declines.

FAAC’s monthly disbursement remains a critical mechanism for ensuring equitable fiscal distribution among the three tiers of government in Nigeria.
