Elon Musk to Step Down Soon — Trump Confirms

0

United States President Donald Trump has informed members of his cabinet and close associates that billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk will soon step down from his special government role.

Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, was appointed by Trump to spearhead efforts aimed at reducing government funding and dismantling various federal agencies. As a special government employee, Musk has been instrumental in advancing the administration’s goal of cutting $1 trillion in federal spending.

According to Politico, both Trump and Musk have recently agreed that Musk will soon return to focusing on his business ventures, though no specific date has been set.

When asked whether he wanted Musk to extend his 130-day term, Trump praised Musk’s contributions but acknowledged the demands of running his companies. “I think he’s amazing, but I also think he’s got a big company to run. At some point, he’s going to be going back. He wants to,” Trump told reporters on Monday.

While representatives from the White House, the Musk-led task force, and Musk himself have not commented on the development, Musk expressed confidence in his progress during a recent interview with Fox News, stating that he expected to complete most of the planned spending cuts before his term ends in May.

Stay tuned for updates as the story develops.
