Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has expressed disappointment over President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, stating that the president has fallen short of expectations to propel Nigeria forward.
Speaking on Arise TV’s Prime Time on Monday evening, El-Rufai lamented the lack of progress under Tinubu’s administration, despite the optimism that followed his election.
“Two years after the election of President Tinubu, none of the party organs are functioning, the progressive ideals are not being pursued with vigour, and the very high expectations we had of the president to take this country to the highest level based on his track record in Lagos are somehow not materializing,” El-Rufai said.
The former governor also criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) for its lack of internal democracy, accusing party organs of failing to convene meetings in the past two years.
