The Ebonyi State Government has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of 11 victims who tragically lost their lives in a petrol tanker explosion along the Anambra–Enugu Expressway.
Governor Francis Nwifuru, represented by his wife, Mrs. Uzoamaka Nwifuru, alongside a delegation from the state government, visited the grieving family in Abofia village, Ebonyi Local Government Area, to commiserate with them over the devastating incident.
The victims, who were returning from Anambra State after attending the burial of their late father, Chief Augustine Nwaji, perished when a petrol tanker exploded at Ugwu Onyeama. The tragic accident claimed the lives of the father, mother, six children, two younger brothers, an apprentice, and a housemaid.
Expressing profound sorrow, Mrs. Nwifuru described the incident as an irreplaceable loss not only to the bereaved family but to the entire Ebonyi State. She offered prayers for the repose of the departed souls and urged the grieving family to find strength and solace in God during this challenging time.
