DSS Debunks Fake Recruitment News

0

The Department of State Services (DSS) has dismissed widespread reports suggesting that it is currently recruiting, labeling them as entirely false and misleading.

In a statement posted on its official X handle on Wednesday, the agency advised Nigerians to disregard any information claiming that it is accepting applications for roles such as electricians, plumbers, mechanics, and carpenters.

The fake reports also alleged that the recruitment exercise was targeted at holders of primary and secondary school certificates.

Reacting to the misinformation, the DSS made it clear that no such recruitment is underway.

“The public is advised to ignore any misleading or false information about the Service’s recruitment process. Disregard such claims, please,” the statement read.

The DSS reiterated its commitment to transparency and urged citizens to rely only on verified official channels for updates regarding its activities.
