Defending Tinubu Administration Is Simple, Says Policy Adviser Daniel Bwala

Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Policy Communications, has described defending the current administration as one of the easiest responsibilities for anyone knowledgeable about governmental operations.

Bwala made this assertion during an appearance on Politics Today, a program aired by Channels Television on Monday. Responding to speculation that his new portfolio might be a demotion, the adviser dismissed such claims, emphasizing his positive relationship with the president and satisfaction with his role.

“I have never been demoted. I have an absolutely good relationship with the president, and I’m happy doing my job,” Bwala affirmed.

The former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar’s Presidential Campaign Council outlined his strategy for addressing critiques of government policies. He emphasized the importance of transparency, accuracy, and preparation.

“To defend this government, in my view, is the easiest thing to do because you speak to facts, be honest with Nigerians, and then be ready to counter any negative or agenda-driven narrative,” Bwala stated.

He stressed that a clear understanding of these principles, combined with thorough research, enables effective communication and builds trust with the public.

Bwala’s remarks come amid heightened discussions about the Tinubu administration’s performance and the role of policy communicators in bridging the gap between government actions and public perception.
