The trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been relocated from the Federal High Court in Abuja to the headquarters of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Justice James Omotosho, who is presiding over the case, ordered the transfer to facilitate the inspection of a shipping container allegedly used by Kanu to smuggle a radio transmitter into Nigeria for broadcasts on Radio Biafra.
The IPOB leader is facing terrorism-related charges linked to his agitation for the secession and actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra.
The decision to hold proceedings at the DSS facility marks a significant development in the high-profile case, which has drawn national and international attention.
