BREAKING: VeryDarkMan Regains Freedom After EFCC Detention

0

Popular social media activist, Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Nelsdaily earlier reported that VDM was arrested in Abuja on Friday, prompting widespread outrage and calls for his release, especially from Nigerian youths who demanded that the EFCC set him free without conditions.

The EFCC had stated that the arrest came after receiving multiple petitions against the activist. According to the agency, several invitations had been extended to him, which he allegedly failed to honour.

Giving an update on Wednesday evening via his official Facebook page, activist and politician Omoyele Sowore simply announced, “VDM Released!”

VDM’s release has since sparked reactions online, with supporters celebrating his freedom while others continue to question the basis of his arrest.
