Bird Strike Forces Air Peace Emergency Return

Air Peace has announced a temporary disruption to its flight operations following a bird strike incident involving one of its aircraft on Thursday morning.

In an official statement, the airline revealed that Flight P47100, operating the Lagos to Enugu route, was forced to return to base shortly after takeoff due to a bird strike that compromised the safety of the aircraft.

The airline described the emergency return as a precautionary measure, allowing its engineering team to carry out a comprehensive safety inspection of the aircraft involved.

The incident has had a ripple effect across the airline’s network, leading to delays and rescheduling of several other flights.

Air Peace apologized to passengers affected by the disruption, assuring them that every effort is being made to resume normal operations swiftly.

“We sincerely empathize with our passengers over the inconvenience caused and appeal for your patience and understanding as we work diligently to minimize disruptions,” the statement read.

The airline reaffirmed its commitment to safety as its top priority.
