Benue Speaker Dajoh Hands Over Official Vehicles to Lawmakers, Clerk

MAKURDI — Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hyacinth Dajoh, has presented official vehicles to members of the Assembly and the Clerk as part of efforts to strengthen legislative work in the state.

The beneficiaries include Clerk of the House, John Hwande, and lawmakers Douglas Akya, Anyor Matu, Peter Uche, Abu Edo, Abu Umoru, and Ezra Nyiyongu.

According to a statement issued on Saturday by the Speaker’s Chief Press Secretary, Terver Zamber, the gesture was to address logistical challenges faced by some lawmakers who had not received official vehicles since the inauguration of the 10th Assembly.

Zamber noted that the lawmakers expressed profound gratitude to the Speaker for prioritizing their welfare and providing them with the tools needed to effectively discharge their responsibilities.

He added that the legislators also reaffirmed their loyalty and pledged unwavering support to Dajoh’s leadership, assuring him of their cooperation to advance the progress of the Assembly.
