JALINGO – Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and incumbent Vice President Kashim Shettima met on Wednesday at the Taraba International Investment Summit in Jalingo, Taraba State capital, marking a rare public encounter between the two leaders.
Atiku shared photos of their meeting on his official Facebook page, showing the duo exchanging pleasantries. “I just arrived at the Taraba International Investment Summit in Jalingo. -AA,” he posted.
The summit, designed to spotlight Taraba’s untapped investment potential, brings together local and international investors with a focus on agriculture, energy, and mining sectors.
Vice President Shettima, who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the event, also commissioned the newly rehabilitated and expanded Danbaba Suntai Airport in Jalingo.
A host of governors, top government officials, and dignitaries are expected to participate in the summit, aimed at driving economic growth and sustainable development in the state.
