APC Urges South East to Back Tinubu in 2027, Promises More Projects and Inclusion

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the people of the South East to throw their full support behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election, promising greater inclusion, infrastructure development, and economic advancement for the region.

Speaking on Sunday in Bende, Abia State, during the inauguration of Renewed Hope Partners, the National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje — represented by the party’s South East Zonal Chairman, Emma Enukwu — appealed to the region to deliver 99 percent of their votes to President Tinubu.

“You can see that all the governors of the South South are collapsing into the APC,” Enukwu said. “Come, let us join hands to ensure that 99 per cent of the votes cast in the South East are for Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

Ganduje stressed that the South East stands to benefit from more federal projects and deeper economic integration if the region aligns with the Tinubu administration’s agenda for national development.

The event also featured remarks from the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, who inaugurated the Renewed Hope Partners — a grassroots mobilization initiative aimed at consolidating APC support in the region.

Kalu noted that despite the low number of votes President Tinubu received from the South East in the 2023 election, the President has demonstrated inclusiveness by appointing an Igbo Chief of Naval Staff and giving the region significant influence in the oil and gas sector.

“President Tinubu has reintegrated the Igbos into national decision-making,” Kalu stated. “He has given us recognition in critical sectors, and we are seeing projects trickling in. Imagine what will happen if we give him massive support in 2027.”

He urged the people of the South East to unite politically and leverage their support for greater development and representation at the federal level.

The APC leaders assured that more developmental projects and political appointments await the region as part of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda — but emphasized that political alignment is key to unlocking these benefits.
