APC to Inaugurate Screening, Appeal Committees July 14 Ahead of Legislative Bye-Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the inauguration of its screening and appeal committees ahead of the upcoming legislative bye-elections across the country.

According to a statement posted on the party’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday, the inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja by 9 a.m.

Following the inauguration, the screening exercise will commence by 10 a.m. at Amor Hotel, Katampe, opposite Aso Radio, also in Abuja.

The APC also released the full list of committee chairmen and secretaries appointed to oversee the screening and appeal processes for aspirants vying for positions in the State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, and the Senate.

“These committees will be responsible for screening aspirants contesting in the bye-elections across various states,” the party stated.

Among those named to lead the various screening panels are Hon. (Mrs.) Dorah D. Ebong, Chairperson of the State House of Assembly Screening Committee I; Arc. Waziri Bulama, Chairman of the House of Representatives Screening Committee I; and H.E. (Barr.) Ibrahim S. Shema, Chairman of the Senate Screening Committee.
