APC Sweeps Kogi Local Government Elections, Wins All 21 Chairmanship Seats

The Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) has declared the All Progressives Congress APC candidates as the winners of all the 21 Local government Chairmen and 239 ward councillors in the just concluded Local government election that took place over the weekend in the State.

While announcing the outcome of the Kogi State Local government election in Lokoja on Sunday, the Chairman of the Commission, Nda Eri, stated that from the results collated from local government headquarters and wards, the All Progressive congress has all 21 local government Chairman seats and 239 wards councillors during the Saturday election.

Earlier, Eri noted that the process to the election was so transparent while conduct was very peaceful, fair and credible.

The Chairman also commended the electorate in Kogi State for coming out en masse to exercise their franchise.

The spokesman of the Forum of the Chairmen of all State Independent Electoral Commission SEIEC who monitored the council election in Kogi State, Mr. Joseph Aremu commended KOSIEC chairman for the job well done.

Aremu lauded the electorate for peaceful conduct of the council election across the state without violence.
