The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), made up of governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reiterated the party’s unity and resilience, describing it as Nigeria’s largest and most stable political party.

Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, stated this during a visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his Kaduna residence. Speaking to journalists after a closed-door meeting, Uzodinma emphasized that the visit symbolized the enduring solidarity and internal cohesion within the APC as it prepares for the 2027 general elections.

“Our visit to President Buhari is a reaffirmation of our unity and strength as a party. The APC remains the most organized and stable platform in Nigeria’s political landscape,” Uzodinma said.

He added that the APC governors are committed to consolidating on the party’s achievements and working together to ensure continued progress and stability across the country.

The visit is seen as part of ongoing efforts by the PGF to strengthen internal democracy within the party and maintain strategic engagement with its founding leaders.
