Tinubu Approves Plan for New APC National Secretariat in Abuja

President Bola Tinubu has approved the construction of a new national secretariat for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, signaling a fresh phase in the party’s institutional development.

Speaking during the APC National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held Thursday at the State House Conference Centre, Tinubu directed the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), the Progressive Governors’ Forum, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to collaborate on the project.

“We’ll look for an appropriate land to build a befitting secretariat,” the President stated.

He also instructed the stakeholders to establish a committee that would identify a suitable location and oversee the construction process.

The party currently operates from its existing secretariat located at 40 Blantyre Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja.

The NEC meeting also featured the official swearing-in of Professor Nentawe Yilwatda as the new National Chairman of the APC. A former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and ex-governorship candidate in Plateau State, Yilwatda was nominated by Governor Hope Uzodimma and seconded by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen.
