Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Monday inaugurated the second batch of commissioners into the State Executive Council, reaffirming his administration’s dedication to accountability, transparency, and excellent service delivery.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony held in Akure, the state capital, Aiyedatiwa described the event as “a significant milestone in the journey to building a greater state.”

He emphasized that his government believes in the principle of “slow and steady wins the race,” stressing the importance of consistency, patience, and goal-driven leadership over hastiness.

“The people of Ondo State expect nothing but the best from us, having entrusted us with an overwhelming mandate. We must strive to deliver on all our electioneering promises,” the governor said.

He urged the new commissioners to immediately get to work, noting that the expectations of the public are high and that performance would be the sole standard of measurement. Aiyedatiwa also warned their families and associates against mounting undue pressure on them for personal or sectional gains.

Highlighting the administration’s progress, the governor noted that within the first 100 days, continuity had been maintained on existing projects while new initiatives were already taking root. He added that proactive engagements with credible investors were yielding tangible economic benefits.

“Our administration is committed to integrity, transparency, accountability and excellent service. We enjoin the new appointees to fully align with these values to build a stronger, more prosperous Ondo State,” he said.

Earlier, Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, described the appointment of the new commissioners as a strategic move towards inclusive and people-focused governance. He commended Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, stating that the appointees were selected based on merit, competence, and loyalty.
