The state executive council of Ondo state has been disbanded effective immediately by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. The Governor also revoked the appointments of all special assistants (SAs) and senior special assistants (SSAs).
All cabinet members are to turn over to the permanent secretaries or the highest-ranking administrative officers in their respective offices, according to a statement released on Wednesday by his chief press secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan.
“Also, all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) are also relieved of their duties, with immediate effect,” the statement reads. All the affected officials are directed to hand over all government properties in their possession.
“The Governor thanks the affected officials for their services and contributions to the development of the State.”
The development comes almost a month after Aiyedatiwa was sworn in as the Governor of the state, following the death of Rotimi Akeredolu, the former Governor.
