The National President of the Afenifere Youth Council, Prince Eniola Joseph Ojajuni, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Abuja.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the council’s National Secretary, Abiodun Aderohunmu, confirmed that the abduction occurred on Monday, February 17. The kidnappers have reportedly demanded a ransom of N100 million for Ojajuni’s release.
During the attack, Prince Ojajuni sustained a gunshot wound to his buttock, raising serious concerns about his health and safety.
“The Afenifere National Youth Council is deeply saddened by this unfortunate incident and calls for his immediate and safe release,” Aderohunmu stated.
He described Ojajuni as a passionate advocate for youth empowerment and development in Nigeria, emphasizing the urgent need for authorities to intervene.
The council has urged the federal government and security agencies to act swiftly to secure Ojajuni’s release and called on Nigerians with relevant information to assist.
As of the time of this report, the FCT Police Command has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
