Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has refuted widespread speculations suggesting his possible defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), insisting he remains a committed member and leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

The clarification comes in the wake of the governor’s recent visits to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos and Abuja, which had sparked intense political speculation.

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Adeleke reassured citizens of his political stance and commitment to the PDP.

“Over the last few hours, I have been inundated with calls regarding rumours of a possible defection. I want to assure the good people of Osun State and Nigerians at large that I remain a loyal member and the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State,” he stated.

Governor Adeleke further emphasized his dedication to fulfilling his administration’s five-point agenda, urging the public to disregard what he described as fake news and focus on the progress being made across the state.

“My focus remains on delivering good governance and fulfilling our five-point agenda for Osun people,” he affirmed.
