A tragic accident claimed the lives of a couple, Alhaji Musa Baba and Mallama Fatima Baba, in the Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The incident occurred around 3 pm on Sunday near the Abaji General Hospital junction, involving a Mercedes Benz car and a motorcycle.
The couple was returning from their farm when they were struck by the vehicle. Alhaji Musa Baba died instantly at the scene, while his wife, Mallama Fatima Baba, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
The couple has since been laid to rest according to Islamic rites. The funeral prayers were led by Malam Ishaq Baba Tsana, Deputy Imam of Abaji Central Mosque, at the Abaji Science Primary School.
Expressing his condolences, community leader Alhaji Dr. Yahaya Musa Muhammad (ARADA) sympathized with the family and the entire Bassa Community in Abaji over the loss. He prayed for Allah to grant the deceased eternal peace in Jannah and to provide comfort to their grieving family, friends, and community. “We will continue to pray Allah to forgive them their shortcomings and grant them an exalted place in Jannah,” Dr. Musa said.
