Zerry DL, Tems, Flavour, Rema, Davido Shine at 17th Headies Awards in Lagos

The 17th edition of the prestigious Headies Awards lit up the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos on Sunday, April 27, 2025, celebrating the brightest stars in Nigeria’s music industry.

Big winners of the night included Zerry DL, Tems, Flavour, Rema, and Davido, who took home major honors in a night filled with glitz, glamour, and unforgettable performances.

The star-studded event drew notable figures from the entertainment and political scenes, with Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, making a special appearance. Also gracing the red carpet were Tanzanian singer Juma Jux and his wife Priscilla, actress Nancy Isime, Bamike Olawunmi-Adenibuyan (BamBam), socialite Cubana Chief Priest, and Big Brother Naija 2021 winner, White Money.

Other distinguished guests included Collins Enebeli Ajereh, father of Mavin Records’ boss Don Jazzy, and Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso.

Among the night’s top honors:

Zerry DL was crowned Rookie of the Year.

Tems clinched Best Recording of the Year with her track “Burning”.

Flavour’s “Big Baller” won Afrobeats Single of the Year.

Rema took home Afrobeats Album of the Year for HEIS.

Davido was named Best Digital Artiste of the Year.

The evening also saw emotional moments, including the presentation of Special Recognition Awards to Governor Sanwo-Olu, Alex Okosi, and Amaju Pinnick, as well as Humanitarian Awards to Temitola Adekunle Johnson and Michelle Mukoro (King Mitchy).
